Drawing on fragmented childhood memories of Frey's father in an internment camp in Suriname — and the Sranan Tongo word for "German" — Doisri asks what identity means when filtered through migration, displacement and inherited memory.

mpower urban is an initiative dedicated to empowering urban dance artists by bridging club and street dance cultures with contemporary choreographic practice. Through artistic productions, mentoring, workshops, and professional development, it creates pathways for emerging choreographers to realize their artistic vision and connect with the wider performing arts landscape. Founded and led by Anna Müller, Daniela Rodriguez-Romero, and Jonas Frey, mpower urban fosters exchange, collaboration, and sustainable artistic growth within the urban dance community.
