Five dancers tell stories of cultural influences, memories, and identities through their bodies, inviting the audience to reflect on questions of origin, belonging, and otherness. In BORROW, Julie Pécard and Jonas Frey, together with the ensemble, explore how cultural expressions circulate between people and contexts — shared, passed on, and constantly evolving.

The festival IN[SIGHT]OUT treats urban dance art as its own artistic and socially relevant practice: over four days, national and international dance artists present their work — from lecture performances and work-in-progress insights to full stage productions — opening the process up for exchange, networking and artistic participation. It's carried by mpower urban, a platform for the club and street dance scene in Baden-Württemberg founded in 2023, which Jonas co-founded. In its third year, it takes place as a festival across three venues.

Starting from the cipher — the circle in which dancers exchange skills in physical dialogue — deciphered deconstructs that form and spreads it across the stage. Four dancers negotiate emerging social situations, collectively building the space they perform in.

Three dancers and a live vibraphonist explore the pull between music and movement, club culture and choreography — and that moment in dancing when you forget everything around you.

A visceral solo unfolding at the intersection of personal memory and collective history. Drawing on fragmented childhood memories of Frey's father in an internment camp in Suriname — and the Sranan Tongo word for "German" — Doisri asks what identity means when filtered through migration, displacement and inherited memory.
